REVIEW

Overall Impression: Moonlight Rhythm Society impresses with their newest release Tampico Shuffle. A south of the border daydream, Tampico Shuffle transports the listener to a hotter climate with a Bluesy sound that will have fans of Jazz, Pop, and Easy Listening coming back for more. Its cool and confident shuffle creates a laid-back mood that is up for anything. The rhythm section and horns work seamlessly together and give the vocals a seriously strong musical foundation. Sultry and seductive, the lyrics retell the tale of two lovers finding each on vacation in Mexico. They are given a stellar vocal treatment and use a terrifically smooth and catchy chorus to stick around for as long as possible. As the tune progresses, a handful of excellent guitar solos voice the thoughts that words cannot express. They put a bow on a tune that is already easy on the ears and a fun listen.

Strongest Point(s): There are many strong points with Tampico Shuffle. The instrumental work immediately catches attention, but the transportive qualities of the lyrics and vocals should not be overlooked. This is the kind of tune that comes to define a memory. Put this song on your vacation playlist, and it will become the soundtrack to a time that's not easy to forget.

Target Audience Appeal: Fans of Jazz, Pop, and Easy Listening will enjoy Tampico Shuffle by Moonlight Rhythm Society.

Artist target suggestions: Barry Manilow, Pink Martini, Post Modern Jukebox, Steely Dan, Rod Stewart, Michael Buble, Rob Thomas, Toto, Sting, Al Jarreau, Santana, Paul Simon, Michael McDonald, Harry Connick Jr.
